BETA Technologies is an aerospace company that designs, manufactures, and flies all-electric aircraft along with the charging infrastructure and electric propulsion systems they depend on. It builds the ALIA CTOL fixed-wing and ALIA VTOL vertical-takeoff aircraft, plus the MV250 autonomous hybrid-electric VTOL for military logistics, and develops its own motors, inverters, and batteries. Its 188,500-square-foot net-zero production facility at Patrick Leahy Burlington International Airport in South Burlington, Vermont was the first large-scale electric aircraft manufacturing plant in the country and is targeted to reach roughly 300 aircraft per year by 2027.
What sets it apart
Vertically integrated across airframe, electric propulsion, and a nationwide charging network — over 50 million people live within 50 miles of an existing BETA Charge Cube — with claimed operating costs 74% below traditional helicopters for VTOL and 42% below conventional aircraft for CTOL.
