CODA Farm Technologies, which operates under the FarmHQ brand, makes a cellular-connected retrofit device and companion mobile and web app that let farmers remotely monitor and control existing irrigation equipment. The hardware clamps onto conventional pumps, valves, flow meters, hose reels, travelers, center pivots and linear-move systems, sending real-time alerts and allowing remote start and stop from a phone or computer. The company was founded in 2019 by brothers David and Connor Wallace, who grew up on their family's potato farm in Washington's Skagit Valley. FarmHQ says it monitors more than 100,000 acres across North America and has raised roughly $6 million in venture funding from investors including Lowercarbon Capital and Voyager Capital.
