Daytona is an infrastructure company that sells cloud sandboxes for running AI-generated and otherwise untrusted code. Its platform provisions isolated, stateful virtual computers in under 90 milliseconds, with CPU, memory, storage, GPU, networking and operating system configurable on demand and startable, pausable or snapshottable at any point. Founded in 2023 by Ivan Burazin, who previously built Codeanywhere and the Shift developer conference, the company began as an open-source development-environment manager and pivoted in 2024 to agent runtimes. It raised a $24M Series A led by FirstMark Capital in February 2026, following a $5M seed led by Upfront Ventures.
