Hark is a San Jose, California AI lab founded in 2025 by Brett Adcock (founder of Figure and Archer Aviation) building what it calls advanced personal intelligence. It takes a vertically integrated approach, developing end-to-end multimodal speech, text, and vision foundation models alongside its own AI-native hardware and interfaces, so that an assistant can listen, see, remember, and act on a user's behalf. Its first announced product is Handoff, a computer-use agent that operates a real web browser in a virtual machine to complete tasks on ordinary websites. The company employs roughly 45 engineers and designers, including former Apple, Tesla, and Meta AI staff.
