Private Tech Inc., which operates as Cape, is a privacy-first mobile network operator in the United States. Unlike a reseller MVNO, Cape owns and operates its own cloud-based mobile core and SIMs, which lets it minimize the subscriber data it collects and delete what it does collect. Its consumer plan provides nationwide talk, text and 4G/5G data (riding partner networks including UScellular) with anti-surveillance features such as daily identifier rotation, disappearing call logs and SIM-swap protection. The company was founded in 2022 by former Palantir employees John Doyle and Nicholas Espinoza and has raised roughly $190-195M from investors including Andreessen Horowitz, Bain Capital Ventures and IVP.

The only US consumer carrier that runs its own mobile core and SIMs specifically to strip out the subscriber identifiers and location trails that make conventional carriers a surveillance surface — no SSN at signup, call logs deleted after a day, and IMSI rotated daily.
