Fusion Energy Solutions, Inc., operating as Serva Energy, is a Tempe, Arizona nuclear technology company founded by Arizona State University plasma and materials scientists. It develops 'Smart Nuclear Materials' that convert transuranic nuclear waste and Radium-226 into usable reactor fuel via a hybrid fission-fusion process. It also uses the same reactor chemistry to produce Actinium-225, an ultra-rare medical radioisotope used in targeted alpha cancer therapies. The company runs its own R&D facility with in-house prototype machining and radiation safety staff.
